It ok Lily. I'm glad you get a kick out of it.

Whenever it comes up here, I try to forget the wackiness, and then the memories aren't too bad. wink grin

I understand.

I have one of those memory types from summer 2003, the guy was a complete loose cannon, but recalling my time with him certainly puts a smile on my face! cool

I've always thought it should be possible to buy a TV that receives all channels except the BBC ones. Such a TV would be exempt from requiring a licence as the licence fee only funds BBC channels. wink

Sadly, it's not possible, as the BBC is in different parts of the radio spectrum in different parts of the country, for technical reasons.

Man, how does one get that job? I'm talking about the artist/painter of course. wink

Always loved Wish You Were Here, and this pic does nothing to change that! Never liked The Wall all that much, but now...... grin

Btw, my son had this poster in his room for years, cool and I always wondered what the other side looks like. wink

There is a grassy area within the grounds at Wimbledon but outside the courts where spectators can watch matches on a big screen. It is most commonly known as Henman Hill, but has also been known as Rusedski Ridge and Murray Mount. But what name could we use for it when Laura Robson is playing? One TV pundit suggested Robson Green! grin

Rob Brydon's 'A Little Less Conservation' joke *when introducing Griff Rhys Jones on Would I Lie To You!

*in tribute to Elvis Vs JXL's No.1 with 'A Little Less Conversation' - it was also Robbie and Amy's first dane at the wedding reception on Everybody Loves Raymond.

Making new friends in the village - in fact just across the road from me! I joined the Elstead village group on fb and had some lovely welcome comments from people. One woman sent me a message and invited me for a coffee this morning. Turned out she lived about 30 second walk away in the same road! She was so lovely - and invited a couple of her local friends to meet me too. Talk about small world, her husband works with the husband of a friend of mine and one of the other ladies and I have mutual friends in common from when I used to work at the school in Cranleigh!
Was a lovely morning indeed - I do love living here - was a good move!
