It's a 2009 Altima with 33,000 miles on it. I went for a used car 'cause all of my money these days goes to pay college tuition. I did splurge for the SL model, however, with the leather seats, moon-roof, 6-CD changer with premium Bose sound system, etc. WOOHOO, I'm a happy camper. smiley

Bizarrely, the Moonroof is known in the UK as a Sunroof. We don't get to use them much! sad

Kate Bush receives a CBE today from the Queen! grin

Aside from here, I've seen disparaging comments made about Kate's weight gain elsewhere.
I find it sad that talented female performers have to maintain a certain appearance as they get older or they become the subject of ridicule.
I'm sure they're self-conscious enough to see themselves in the mirror, they see the changes.
I can understand why many of them recede from the limelight and as they get older.

Certainly.

I don't understand why if you are a woman (artist, singer ....) and don't look young anymore, or overweight or whatever, everybody feels the need of comment about it. I find it very cruel, to be honest.

Nobody looks young forever and getting older with dignity is much better than getting older with botox!! (in my very humble opinion).

I agree completely. I was going to make such a comment, but you two have expressed my feelings very well.

As a youth I was infatuated with Ann Wilson and Linda Ronstadt. No, they do not look the same as they did 35 years ago, but I still love 'em dearly. smiley

Santander bank are currently using Rory McIlroy, Jenson Button and Jessica Ennis in their UK advertising campaign. One of my local branches has a life size image of Jessica glued to the outside window promoting one of their financial services. It looks as if somebody has unsuccessfully tried to peel off the image. smiley Well, Jess is rather cute so I kind of understand. wink
