Thanks for the kinds wishes guys .....am currently trying to compose my resignation letter ..... not quite as easy as I thought - much as I'd like to tell him where he can stick his job..... I love the place and my colleagues and want to be able to go back and visit so am being professional and polite, but the right wording is hard !!!

Am VERY excited though. This is where I shall be working grin

My iPod radio, which I thought was broken, is actually fully functional. I found out that the iPod music setting on the radio had been unintentionally switched off. That's why sound wasn't coming from the radio. Good to know I won't have to replace it. smiley

(Although true to form my dentist always hints at the possibility of needing another filling, or crown, or something in the near future....).
