I've been here for a while...but yet again I don't seem to be visible to others!

Am I really here, or just a figment of an over-active imagination?

As science fiction fans, I'm sure we can come up with some explanations involving alternate realities or temporal anomolies and such. smiley

You're right...

A quantum singularity, occurring as a result of the recent transit of Venus, caused a tear in sub-space in the space time continuum. This in turn resulted in an infinite number of realities visible in the current universe, in which was one where I was logged on, and one where I wasn't. Possibly even in an infinite number of realities was one where Calling All Stations was universally acclaimed as the best Genesis album ever. (ducks for cover)

The way round this, of course, was to modify the deflector array to emit a stream of tachyon particles which closed the tear in sub space. It did result in a fluctuation in the warp core field, and an imbalance in the anti-matter field generator but re-routing auxiliary power through the EPS conduits solved that problem. We might need to put into the nearest starbase to replenish our dilithium crystal supply though.

(Whatever happened to dilithium crystals? Scotty was obsessed by them, but by The Next Generation you barely heard about them...).
