For what it's worth:

I didn't see Henry as being selfish huh

Noni, it sounds like you are taking a post personally when it had no connection to what you are upset about at all.

It's reasonable here. My heart goes out to those affected by this awful flooding.

Overcast but dry here, and the sun is softly glowing through the clouds.

Hi there

Dark and grey at the mo - almost makes me want to burst into song wink. I agree with Mal about the poor souls being let down in Somerset etc but what else can you expect from Tories?

Porthleven.......... Cornwall

Last summer a huge part of Sachsen - Anhalt was flooded, due to the high water of the River Elbe. The pictures we see from Cornwall at the moment are pretty much the same ones as the ones we saw from Germany last year. People are still struggling to get their damage removed. Many people are giving up their homes, because they had a "millennium flood" two times within 10 years.

As you said in another post, Noni, we are paying the price for constant pollution of the environment since decades....

I totally agree slowdancer. smiley As mentioned before it's the lack of government support which is upsetting me not lifting a finger but they are willing to give foriegn aid to other countries so easily. I am not sure your politics in Germany or how they cope in such disasters but all I can hope for is they are doing a better job then Britain.. smiley
