Hi there

Might have found a couple of interesting Hackett cd/dvd items but have to check 'em first to make sure they're OK to circulate. Marvellous what you find when you start digging!

I heard a version of Chicago 77' Radio Broadcast on youtube which was a different and better source than any of the others I had before.

That's from a first generation tape of the broadcast. The best version is this one that's is from the preFM of the show...

Thank you for watching my YouTube channel. cheesy

I obtained those cassettes from a good friend of mine in East Chicago who used to tape concerts from the radio in the 70's and early 80's. He had some great stuff. I wish bands and record companies would allow more FM broadcasts in this day and age. There's a great thrill sitting next to your radio and hearing something live, warts and all, with some static here and there. Good stuff !

As Yild mentioned, check out the Genesis Movement site. Lots of fans share shows there. I have contributed some over time as well (mainly interviews and a few live shows here and there). Lots of stuff to choose from within the entire Genesis family tree.

I also have some Marillion stuff on YouTube, check out my channel if you like them too.

I tried sharing it a few years back on The Movement. After some spirited debate by some members, it was decided that there were already a fair amount of Chicago '77 shows available. Seeing as a Pre-FM show already existed, and a good Highland silver CD was submitted, the show I had would clutter up the pool, so to speak. So I shared it on Dime and put it on YouTube so people could hear it on the fly just in case anyone was interested.

I need to dig up some more cassettes. I have them stored in a closet and need to find time to go through them some more. I keep saying I'm going to make time, but you know how that goes. smiley I think I have some more rare radio interviews hiding somewhere.

And may I say that your contributions to The Movement have been awesome. Thank you for sharing so much good stuff with the community. cheesy

I just uploaded a Genesis bootleg vinyl LP rip "The Magic of Time". It's a collection of the usual demos from the '67-'68 era. I figured I'd put it on YouTube in case anyone wanted to check them out.

I hate when YouTube does that. Since the songs have a copyright on them, the Digital Rights Owners keep them from being streamed on portable devices. tongue

Have those demos been released officially? I can't remember if they were on the box sets or not?

They are licensed, but I forgot by who. I had to make a copyright acknowledgement in order for YouTube to accept them because they were claimed by a publishing company.

EDIT - I looked again, it's WMG who owns the rights.
