New album release "Seventh Heaven"

Some news that may be of interest:
Seventh Heaven - a brand new collaboration between Ant and composer & arranger Andrew Skeet - is due for release on April 23rd.
Seventh Heaven is a double album of co-written orchestral and acoustic portraits (featuring some outstanding arrangements by Andrew) which have been recorded by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Additional pieces have also been recorded with a string section and an orchestra of leading session musicians.

The production of Swallows & Amazons that Neil Hannon and Andrew Skeet scored has just been on at West Yorkshire Playhouse and I missed it (shame!).
Never mind, I'm looking forward to Seventh Heaven even if this orchestral release following Tony Banks's 'Six' suggests a Harry Hill fight waiting to happen!

Having helped Ant select some of the stuff that is to be included on this one, I can say that it will be a delight for fans. TWR has an extensive interview with Ant about this project in the pipeline so loook out for it in a future edition.

Just been listening to the soundcloud excerpts.This is an absolutely beautiful album.
I would like to listen to it back to back with Tony's new Classical Six release to compare them.
Anyone done that yet?

Just received an advance copy from Ant and I have to say that this is without doubt one of the best albums he has ever recorded. Both he and Andrew Skeet have produced a masterpiece and I don't say that lightly!

I was given a 'demo' copy months ago - but had to keep quiet about it as it wasn't certain it would be released or when ..... I loved it so much and am very pleased it's being officially released now !!!

Seventh Heaven is the featured CD this week on the Classic FM Drive show - a track from the album will be played each day at around 6.15 pm.
Tracks from the album will also be played on several other shows on the station in the coming weeks.
